Google Display Ad sizes ?

Display ad sizes can vary, and the most effective size often depends on the platform and the specific goals of your advertising campaign. They have their own strengths and suitability for different placements on a website. However, there are some common display ad sizes that are widely used and accepted across different platforms.

Google recommend different Display Ad size. Google recommended file format for the Display ads banner are GIF, JPG, or PNG. The maximum size of these ads should be 150 KB.

1. 300 x 250 – Inline Rectangle
2. 336 x 280 – Large Rectangle
3. 250 x 250 – Square
4. 200 x 200 – Small Square
5. 120 x 600 – Skyscraper
6. 160 x 600 – Wide Skyscraper
7. 300 x 600 – Half Page (Large Skyscraper)
8. 728 x 90 – Leaderboard
9. 970 x 90 – Large Leaderboard
10. 468 x 60 – Banner

As far as practice is concerned, predominant Display ad sizes that are used are are Inline rectangle, Skyscraper and leaderboard.

Square and Rectangle

Inline Rectangle (300×250)

Skyscraper (160×600 or 120×600)

Brand logo

As is typical of any banner ads, you need to ensure that your Display ad or Banner ad contains the logo of your brand. Your logo is one of the way in which your consumers remember your brand and indirectly effects your Brand recall.

The image that you will use to design your banner ads. This will depend upon what message you are trying to communicate with your consumers. The image should ensure that this generates interest in the minds of consumers. You need to preserve the original image. Do not overlay your logo or text over the original images.

The display ads creative should have a headline in the form of text in the Display Ads. Communicate the value of your product or service.

The restriction on character limit for description is 80.

Call to Action (CTA)

The Display ads should you have a clear call to action for the consumers. You should include CTA button in the Display ad. This CTA could be Subscribe, Visit, Click, Download, Apply or Purchase.
